30 Days of Gratitude: Day 26

I baked this red velvet cake from scratch during Christmas 2017.

If you’ve been following my blog posts, you know by now that I’m kind of obsessed with Christmas. Just a little. Okay—a lot!

In yesterday’s blog post, I mentioned the goals that I’m planning to accomplish during my week off for Thanksgiving, and one of those goals is putting up Christmas decorations. I’ve accomplished the inside decorations—whoo hoo! I was able to get my momentum going by listening to some of my favorite Christmas music by Chris Brown, Miriah Carry, Michael Jackson, and The Temptations. You can never go wrong with that playlist.

I’m thankful that I was able to put up one of our Christmas trees with my husband and my almost 4-year-old daughter. She loves Christmas, too. It was magical.

What’s even more magical are 5 of my favorite things during Christmas. These are must-haves for me. If none of these things are on your indulging list for Christmas, maybe you’ll find something you want to adopt, too, go for it—it’s Christmas!

Red Velvet Cake There’s no doubt that a delicious, layered, mouth-watering red velvet cake is the holy grail of holiday cakes. It’s pleasing to your palate and irresistible. Personally, this is my favorite cake year-round. However, I only splurge baking it during Christmas time.

Steve Madden Loxley Sock Wedge Sneaker This is a popular shoe this season, and I’ve fallen in love with my black ones. It’s super cute and comfortable. You can dress it up or down, and the possibilities of style with this shoe is endless.

Super Vitamin C Serum I incorporate this into my morning and night routines every day. Speciafically, for my face. It’s considered a natural product (vegan, gluten-free & paraben-free). I love it. During the winter months, you must moisturize and take care of your skin. If not, your skin will be exposed to the dry air, which causes dull, cracking, and unattractive skin. Who wants that, right?

Starbucks Hot Chocolate Since I’m not a coffee drinker, this is the next best thing—it’s my guilty pleasure. And I have to drink it in moderation. It’s something about drinking warm cocoa during the holiday season that gives me total bliss. I’m thinking about adding a Keurig to my Christmas list, but I’m pretty sure that it’s not going to taste exactly like Starbucks hot cocoa.

Hallmark Movies What can I say, it’s my Christmas ritual. I’ve been watching Hallmark Christmas movies for a decade. They put me in the Christmas spirit, amongst many other things, too. I’ve even ordered a personalized sweatshirt from my cousin’s shop, Loody Bugs Personalized Gifts, that will read, “This is my Hallmark Christmas Movie Watching Shirt.”

Whatever your pleasure is for the holiday season, take a moment and enjoy all of your favorite things, too. The countdown to Christmas is quickly approaching, and what better way to indulge yourself with all of the things merry and bright!

What are your holiday favorites?
