My big bookish news is finally here!

This reveal is one of the proudest moments of my life. I’m so excited to share this stunning cover with you!

I am humbled, honored, grateful, and blessed beyond words. This book is proof that dreams DO come true. Never let anyone tell you otherwise. This book is proof that I can do hard things. This book is proof that God gave me the confidence and courage to keep shattering glass ceilings.

I see my name on the cover, and I tear up. This book has redefined who I am. I had no idea when I started writing this book that I would share as much of my personal story as I did, and I had no idea that it would open me up to as much divine insight as it has. This book is a culmination of my life experiences and discoveries. And on this journey, I rediscovered myself. In this book, I’m vulnerable, I’ve been frank, and most importantly, I’ve left no stone unturned under God’s direction.

He spoke, I asked, He answered, I listened, and—I wrote.

The book cover design was creatively and meticulously designed by my life-long best friend and Graphic Designer, Cailyn Haynes. She executed my vision and created a masterpiece. Her designing talent is fierce and roars the loudest. I’m so grateful for you.

It is with esteemed pleasure that Karen Arrington, 51st NAACP Image Award Winner for Outstanding Literary Work for her book, Your Next Level Lifefounder of The Miss Black USA Pageant, and International Philanthropist wrote the foreword for my book. You are a trailblazer and inspiration. It’s an honor to learn from a powerhouse boss woman like you.

To my husband, my biggest supporter—you are the best part of everything that I do. You never stop believing in me. Thank you to my family, friends, and community for your unwavering love and support.

About the cover:

The cover is a fun project within itself. I wanted a cover that was feminine, elegant, vibrant, and stood out among the rest. A book cover that resonated with women when they looked at it for the first time. I wanted a book that represented our strength, determination, resiliency, and our feminine soul.

Flowers have so many significant meanings. I wanted a flower on the cover to depict all of the things that we should experience in our life: happiness, transformation, celebration, hope, rebirth, wellness, and peace.

Also, my faith is important to me, something that I carry in my heart every day, and I also wanted it to represent a part of who I am. Lastly, pink is my favorite color, and it represents girl power. Pink represents the color of the universal love of oneself, harmony, and inner peace. I wanted the cover to roar the loudest to women and seek empowerment through my book.

About the book:

Bloom: How to Get from Good Enough to a Life You Love is a memoir/self-help book written by Kimberley Carter Spivey. Her debut work will be launching soon.

A modern-day feminist, visionary, and new author, she combines real-life examples, common-sense insights, humor, and Scripture to work through your biggest challenges to set you up for the life you want. The result is a masterful original book as powerful as it is awe-inspiring. Bloom is a page-turning work that begs to be read in a single sitting as this mental time captures your heart, warms your soul, and empowers you to dream big. This is an astonishing work from an unforgettable author and is a must-read.
