Niagara Falls is amazing!

Fun facts:

It’s a geological wonder, and one of the most famous waterfalls in the world.

• Roughly 30 million people visit Niagra Falls each year.
• It’s one of the most popular honeymoon destinations, and it has been for more than 200 years.
• The water rushes over the falls at about 25 mph, according to the New York State Museum (NYSM).
This summer, my husband and I packed up the kiddos and took a trip to Buffalo, NY. Fortunately, Niagra Falls is 25 minutes from Buffalo, and it was definitely on our to-do-list to explore.

(I consider this to be a bucket list item.)

If you’ve never visited and seen the powerful waterfalls cascading in all of its splendor, the majesty of Niagra Falls is difficult to describe in words.

To put it in perspective for you, imagine a born and breed New Yorker visiting the South for the first time and seeing a herd of cattle cross an intersection. If you’re a Southerner like me, it probably wouldn’t appear to you as spectacular or unique.

While I was there, my husband’s cousin asked me, “How did you like Niagra Falls?” Of course, my reply was, “It was spectacular!” She said, “I guess since I live here, I kind of take it for granted because I’m just used to it being here.”

For a first-timer visiting NY, I was captivated by the beauty of nature. I had a deep appreciation while experiencing a breathtaking atmosphere, and hearing the roaring sound of stong brisk waterfalls.

Another highlight from our trip was visiting the New Era Field stadium, home of the Buffalo Bills NFL football team. In case you’re wondering, my husband is a huge Buffalo Bill’s fan, and he’s not a born and bred Southerner. That pretty much explains it, right? To see the excitement on his face was priceless.

I’m thankful that I had an opportunity to see such a magnificent place and make special memories with my family. It allowed me to see a different side of the world that’s filled with lustrous beauty.
